Professor Andrew Wang

WANG Guo-An (Andrew Wang) is Professor of Economics, specializing in International Trade in the College of Economics at Zhejiang Gongshang University in Hangzhou,China. He is also Secretary General of IAUP (www.iaups.org) Northeast Asia Council and Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Global Business Network. His research interests cover International Trade, Foreign Direct Investment, e-Business and the Zhejiang Economy. He was Foreign Assistant to President and Vice Director of the International Affairs Office during the period of May 2006-May 2009. As a visiting scholar, Professor Wang studied intercultural communication and world economics at Ehime University, Japan from September 1992 to October 1994. As a visiting professor, he made presentations or delivered seminars on various topics on Chinese culture, business and trade at the following universities: Southeast Missouri State University (1999) and the University of North Dakota (2003) in the USA;Kunsan National University (2001), Yeungnam University (2005) and Chung-ang University (2007) in South Korea; the University of Guelph (2003) in Canada;the University of Sydney (2004) in Australia,Far Eastern University (2006) and University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines, European Business School and Glynd?r University (NEWI) in the UK (2007),Southeast University in Bangladesh (2008) and T.C. Kadir Has University in Istanbul,Turkey (2009). He is the coauthor of two books, World Economy Research and International Service Trade, and has published more than forty papers in academic journals in China, the USA, South Korea,the Philippines and Bangladesh and at international conferences. In Hangzhou, he hosted the First International Conference on E-Trade in Northeast Asia in July 2004 and the First Northeast E-Trade Forum in February 2005, and served as Secretary-General and Editor-in-Chief for the KIECA International Conference 2005 on Trade, Investment, Logistics & e-Biz in Gunsan, South Korea in October 2005. In addition, he acts as a reviewer for International Journal of Electronic Business as well as a consultant and a translator for governmental institutions and transnational corporations in China.
