My English name is Andrew Wang; my legal name in China is WANG GUOAN. I am a professor of Economics, specializing in International Trade. I live in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, close to Shanghai, in the east of China.


I have considerable experience in the following fields:

 

  •          Over  thirty  years of academic teaching and research experience in three universities in China, focusing on International Trade, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Chinese Business and Economy, and e-Commerce.

     

  •          Wide range of academic exchange, short-term teaching, and international conferences experience all over the world, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, the United States, Canada, South   Korea, Turkey, the UK, the Philippines, Austria, Thailand, Russia, Bangladesh, Chile, Brazil, Qatar, Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand and Pakistan. 

  •          More than ten years of administration experience as the Foreign Assistant to the University President and Director of International Affairs Office at Zhejiang Gongshang University in China, in charge of all the overseas partnerships, international students’ admission and management; Director and Chairman. 

  •          Active participation in World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacifica (AUAP) and Association of International Educators (NAFSA), etc. 

  •          More than forty academic publications, principally on the topics of Chinese Business, International Trade and Economics. My publications also include works on Chinese e-Business.
